Sesame Street

I haven't seen this video since I was little. I thought this was the most beautiful dancing my 5 year old eyes had ever beheld. Didn't even realize they were trying to teach me Spanish...the dress had me MESMERIZED.

El Gato

"El Gato" comes and visits us almost daily now. I cant decide if he wants to live with us...I would like it...and although Tyler says he wouldn't....I don't know if I believe him.

i wish i were a pedestrian

The true charm of pedestrianism does not lie in the walking, or in the scenery, but in the talking. The walking is good to time the movement of the tongue by, and to keep the blood and the brain stirred up and active; the scenery and the woodsy smells are good to bear in upon a man an unconscious and unobtrusive charm and solace to eye and soul and sense; but the supreme pleasure comes from the talk. ~Mark Twain

early morning chai tea

once upon a time, in a land of the purple and gold university, 2 hard working co-workers decided they had enough time to get hot caffeinated beverages before the hour struck half past eight. one of the hardworking co-workers so happened to be a disabled American citizen and unable to carry her hot caffeinated beverage. her hardworking co-worker (an able American citizen) offered to carry his co-workers hot caffeinated beverage for her. His idea was to stack the two hot drinks on top of each other. Almost immediately the top beverage tumbled to the ground, unleashing its hot beverage all over the disabled American girl. The disabled girl had hot chai tea from top to bottom. Thankfully they were not far from the maker of the hot beverages and he offered to make another one free of charge.

Peshastin, Washington.

good morning from Leavenworth! The land of brats, sunshine, wine, and hail storms!

My lovely & favorite Mexican husband is leaving for his homeland this upcoming week so we decided a little getaway was in order before he heads down south. I LOVE coming over here - staying at our friend's place right on the Peshastin river. It is the most peaceful and beautiful thing to wake up to in the morning. After a morning of walking through the forest (well...i was in my wheelchair), strong americanos and Munchen Haus we headed back to the house. The clouds rolled in, the thunder boomed and the biggest pieces of hail began attacking the Corrington's yard. It was beautiful. We just sat and watched. I love nature - God's handiwork.

Then this morning...i fell in the shower. splat. down. frustrated. with only 5 weeks to go of non weight bearing i was quickly reminded that i am still very dependent on the handicap tools around me. My wheelchair, crutches, shower bench, husband, family and friends. In light of all of it i take the following verse quite literally..."For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed." - Hebrews 12:11-12
